Elementor recently released a new product called Angie - an AI website builder for all WordPress websites. Building and editing websites has never been this easy. With Angie, anyone can create and manage high-quality websites while saving time and reducing the need for a developer in many cases. Whether you run a small business or a large agency, this AI-powered WordPress expert can build custom apps, widgets, layouts, and code snippets for you. In this guide, we’ll explore what Angie is, how it works, and its key features.

What is Elementor’s New Tool Angie?

Angie is an AI-powered chat where you simply type what you want to build, and the AI creates it for you. It is similar to platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini, where you write prompts, but instead of giving only text answers, Angie delivers real results by creating and editing your website for you.

It is not a generic chatbot or external code generator – Angie is built specifically for WordPress, understands how your website works, and is fully integrated into your site. Angie can create many things from scratch, helping you save time and reducing the need to build everything yourself or hire a developer for every task.

Angie Plugin Activation

Angie is not only for Elementor website builders – it works with all builders, as long as you have WordPress. You can easily install the free plugin and activate it. Angie offers a free plan with daily-renewing AI Credits, so you can start exploring it right away.

Quick note: Angie is currently in active beta and it’s free to use during this stage. It may become paid later or switch to a credits system we’ll see how it evolves.

Download Angie via button from the Elementor page → download the plugin (ZIP file) → don’t extract it → upload the ZIP file → click Activate → sign in → start using Angie.

Even though Angie works well with other builders, we suggest using Elementor website builder and combining these two tools together for the best results so far.

If you don’t have an Elementor page builder yet, check out our blog What Is Elementor One? Features, Plans, and Benefits and start building your first website. You can also find out more about Elementor and how it works through this guide.

What Elementor Angie Can Do?

Angie can understand your website very well, from designing your pages to creating integrated code that works seamlessly within your workflow. With Angie, you don’t need a developer and you don’t need technical skills, as it can handle many tasks for you. Angie Code acts like your AI developer, writing and implementing code whenever you need it. All you need to do is describe what you want using natural language.

Angie understands context, technical requirements, and design preferences through conversation. Let’s explore together, in simple words, what Angie can do for your website.

Elementor Widgets

Elementor Widgets - Angie

Are already-made little building blocks that you place on your website, and each block does something special. For example, if you want to add an image, you use the Image widget and upload your picture. You can also use many different widgets such as videos, buttons, image carousels, icon tabs, table of contents, and more.

Now with Angie, you can create your own custom widgets from scratch or edit existing ones and add new functionality. You don’t need coding for that – you simply write what you want. Even though Elementor already has many cool widgets, some users may need special features based on their own preferences, so this option gives you more flexibility and creativity.

And even though Elementor widgets are easy to use, customizing them exactly the way you want can take time. With Angie, you can simply ask and get results in a few seconds. So this new tool not only gives you more functionality, but also saves your time.

💡 Example Prompt
For example, you can ask Angie to create an Elementor widget with a continuously moving image gallery/marquee effect.

Requirements:
- Display multiple images/logos in a horizontal moving track.
- Add a control to choose movement direction (left or right).
- Add controls for speed, spacing, and image size.
- Make it loop smoothly and infinitely.
- Responsive on desktop and mobile.

We tested this snippet with Angie, and it took around 2–3 minutes to generate the results. and when I asked where to see the result it showed me “To do list type” answer to Navigate to Elementor editor to use widget. This promp is not finished we still need to upload more images, but as you see on the screenshot you can check how the Angie activated looks like in the elementor editing dashboard.

WordPress Admin Snippets

WordPress Admin Snippets

When you are editing your website, you mostly use your dashboard. Now with Angie, you can customize your WordPress admin experience. This means you can add personalized dashboard views, change the theme of the entire admin area, and create special settings just for you.

Also, those who manage more than one website know that having different admin panel designs can help you instantly recognize each site and switch between them faster during work without confusion.

WordPress Snippets

Are small pieces of code that add extra features or change how a website works. Plugins are bigger tools, while snippets are used for smaller tasks.

  • Hide your WordPress version number to improve website security and reduce potential vulnerabilities
  • Add a Microsoft Clarity tracking snippet to your site for better user behavior and heatmap analysis
  • Create a custom admin-only eCommerce snippet to view orders, signups, site stats, and internal messages in one place

Visual Apps

Visual Apps

Have you ever visited a website that includes games or interactive fun elements? For example, when a user lands on a 404 error page, Angie can create a custom small engaging game instead of a boring error page.

If you are selling products and running an eCommerce website, you can also build very useful and fun apps – for instance, a calculator to sum up prices. Isn’t that interesting?

Custom Post Type and Fields

Angie is not only about creating widgets and design. It lives inside your WordPress website and understands everything about your site and workflow. So if you have custom post types and face issues setting them up, you don’t need to go to ChatGPT and ask how to fix or configure it. You already have an AI-powered expert that knows how your website pages are built and can help check and fix functionality directly.

Upload Image for a Reference

  • You don’t have to describe everything in words. You can simply upload an image, design mockup, or screenshot, and Angie will use it to create special design or visual elements for you.
  • Most people, when building a website, already search for design ideas and references they like.
  • They often find many designs they want, but can’t build them without a developer, so they end up choosing only the easier parts to implement.
  • I was one of them — if I had Angie back then, I could have built much cooler designs.
  • With Angie, you can upload an image of a website design you like, show a reference, and ask it to create something similar for you.
  • And boom — you will have it. It doesn’t just give you an image or plain design, it also brings functionality with it, because Angie can analyze visual elements and translate them into functional website assets.

Reference a URL

Using images is not the only cool feature, you can also use a website URL and point it to Angie, then ask it to create the same functionality, structure, or style as a reference. I think you already get the idea.

Using Angie’s Safety Net to Build

I know all these features sound amazing and interesting to use, but some people might wonder how you save changes and how you control them without publishing the final result. The answer is simple – Angie has a “Sandbox only” mode, which is a testing environment. Whether you are building an entire page or just one widget, every change is isolated from your live website and only goes live if you decide to publish it.

Turn on test mode

Activate Test Angie's Mode
  • While you test and build, you can always preview your changes without worrying about breaking your existing design and structure.
  • Elementor already has a very user-friendly interface, and anyone can use it.
  • After a few days, you will feel like an expert in controlling and using Angie.
  • Anything you create in test mode stays there unless you publish the changes.
  • If you create a widget as a test, open the Elementor builder (or whatever builder you use) and look for the Generated Widget in the widgets section.

When you finish creation, Angie asks whether you want to “Publish selected and Exit “- which means your created widgets (for example) will be saved in your editing mode. For example, we created a Decryption Text Widgets by using Angie and after finishing the creation we checked “Decryption Text” because we want to save it.

Elementor AI Prompt Library

A prompt is simply the instruction or question you give to an AI so it knows what to do. Prompt=what you tell AI to do.

Angie’s chatbox already has a small button that opens a prompt library for you. It is built in and works the same way as when you search for emojis.

Prompt Library Button

Here’s how the Angie prompt library looks like: you can copy ready-to-use prompts, simply choose the one you like, copy and paste it into Angie, or even click “Try Prompt” directly.

Coming Soon...

Soon, Angie will introduce a new feature called Cloud Library, where you’ll be able to save anything you create using Angie’s AI and reuse it across multiple WordPress sites without rebuilding it from scratch. This is especially useful for:
  • People managing more than one website who don’t want to start over each time
  • Users who create a great design or widget and want to reuse it across different projects
  • Developers and agencies who want to build their own designs and styles once and use them across all client websites

Elementor introduced Angie Cloud, allowing users to save their created designs, widgets, and snippets and reuse them across different websites without rebuilding from scratch.
